The Loan Documentation and Funding group is a critical partner in our Commercial & Wealth Banking strategy. This team helps ensure an efficient, accurate and timely experience for our clients. This position is responsible for assisting with the post – approval closing, funding, and servicing of loans within the Commercial and Wealth Banking line of business.
Our LD&FC group works with loans in the Commercial and Industrial, Commercial Banking, and a wide array of other types of specialty lending areas within the commercial banking segment. This middle office control area supports the lending team by providing a variety of due-diligence and documentation review functions. Review draft loan documents and address issues/concerns with attorneys, lenders and customers as needed. Ensure the Bank’s approval terms align with the final loan documentation delivered to the client. Remain up to date on all policies, procedures and training. Identify and address and/or elevate issues and exceptions with Manager. Ensure funding is in compliance with loan documentation and according to the Bank’s required policies and procedures.


    Reviewing the loan approval and loan documents.
    Identifying and collecting all required due diligence required per policy, procedures, and collateral type.
    Generating loan documents via Laser Pro and/or engaging Bank approved attorney firms for loan documentation.
    Review all advance requests as they come in for accuracy, sufficiency, and compliance with Bank policy.
    Funding the loan according to the bank approval and the loan documents within the correct loan funding system.
    Timely follow up on missing documents to ensure all requests are processed within stated Service Level Agreements.
    Assist department with administrative duties, as needed.
    Assist Manager/Team Lead with out of balance reports to reconcile any errors/issues.


A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Legal Studies is required with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Commercial loan documentation and closing and two (2) years of experience in the banking industry with accounts receivable/ accounts payable, journal entry transactions or loan funding/servicing. Additional professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. Detail Oriented.
Must be able to balance loan funds and fund according to the Loan Agreement.
Ability to handle stress and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting Service Level Agreements.
Focus on accomplishing work assigned within a specified time frame and able to achieve and manage critical milestones and deadlines.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels within the organization to include peers, executive management, attorneys, and third party vendors.
